By supporting the American Friends of the Vienna Boys Choir, your support preserves a tradition of over 500 years and secures it for future generations.
1. Endowments & Donations
There are two ways to support the charity:
- Endowments: Your contribution is added to the charity’s capital. This capital remains untouched, is managed professionally, and the income generated secures the long-term work of the Vienna Boys Choir and its partner organizations. Endowers may also become members of the Board of Curators – working side by side with leading artists of our time who serve as ambassadors for the WSK Vision globally.
- Donations: Your gift has an immediate impact, supporting specific projects, scholarships, and programs for children.
Those who donate create opportunities today. Those who endow build a charity that lasts.
2. Real Estate Contributions
Properties can also become gifts for the future. By transferring buildings or land to the charity, you create lasting value. The returns from these assets flow permanently into the support of children and young people.
3. Legacy Giving
By leaving a legacy or bequest to the Foundation, you help ensure education, concerts, and the nurturing of young talents for the future.
4. Corporate Giving
Companies can make a meaningful contribution to supporting young people through their donations. In doing so, they foster values such as teamwork, dedication, friendship, and enthusiasm – qualities that transcend borders and inspire the world. Corporate engagement thus becomes a legacy that echoes far beyond the next fiscal year in the voices of the next generation.
As a donor or benefactor, you become part of a vibrant network of music, education, and values. Every form of commitment – large or small – helps children find and develop their voices. Each contribution becomes a note in the score that shapes the future.
Together, we let the music resonate into the future – with voice, poise and heart
Question & Answer (Q&A)
What is the difference between an endowment and a donation?
- An endowment increases the charity’s capital. This capital remains permanently intact, and the income generated funds the charity’s work in the long term.
- A donation is used directly and has an immediate impact.
Are donations or endowments tax-deductible?
Yes. Thanks to the charity’s international structure, tax-advantaged arrangements are possible in various countries.
How high are the administrative costs?
The charity operates with a lean, largely virtual structure, and many functions are carried out pro bono. This ensures that your contribution flows directly into supporting children – without heavy administrative overhead.
Can I donate or endow anonymously?
Yes. Upon request, we treat donations or endowments confidentially and do not publish your name. Nevertheless, KYC and AML standards need to be fulfilled.
What options exist besides financial donations?
In addition to donations and endowments, you may contribute real estate or legacies, or engage in corporate giving. Every form of commitment helps secure the charity’s future.
How is the use of funds monitored?
The charity reports regularly: quarterly through the Audit, Risk & Tax Committee, annually through external auditors, and annually to the Board of Curators.
How do I know where my donation goes?
We keep you informed with full transparency – through our website, newsletters, or individual updates upon request.
